General Info

  • Vendors are free to decide their level of participation. For example, a vendor may choose to utilize their 10 ft. x 15 ft. space to merely place an advertising banner informing patrons of the market their product offerings and their contact information and then only personally man their space on the weekends.

  • Vendors are charged $15 per day or a flat monthly fee of $100 for each outdoor vending space, paid in advance each day/month, and are free to come and go as best fits their life.

There is no increase in the monthly cost during the annual Parke County Covered Bridge Festival held in October.

  • Vendors are responsible for all insurance, permits, taxes, and licenses as applicable to the products they offer.

Vendors are required to submit copies of all permits that are legally required for the sale of their products and provide proof of insurance prior to being approved to participate at the Market.

  • Vendors are always responsible for the integrity and security of all property they place and leave at their market space and should contact their personal home insurance representative regarding risk protection at their “offsite” location at the market and to provide Security Investment Properties, LLC a certificate of liability insurance.

  • Vendors are urged to review Indiana House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1309 that was passed by the Indiana General Assembly in 2009. This legislation addresses “home-based vendor (HBV)” exemptions from regulations. Purdue University Extension offers additional information on this legislation and internet links at their website.

Vendor Info

Thank you very much for your interest in becoming a vendor at the Brazil Farmers Market. We encourage all local artisans, craftsmen, and growers to take advantage of these prime vendor spaces on a first come, first served basis and to take their home-based business to the next level of success by marketing their products all week long or on weekends only.

Vendor insurance

Our (Security Investment Properties, LLC) insurance provider requires that all vendors provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Security Investment Properties, LLC as an “Additional Named Insured”. Liability coverage is designed to respond to bodily injury and property damage claims vendors are legally liable for.

Before vendors set up for an event, they must carry general liability insurance. For food vendors, Food Liability Insurance Program (FLIP) is required and includes general liability and other types of coverages in their policy.  All vendors should discuss their insurance needs with their current homeowner’s policy company to learn if they offer this insurance as part of their homeowner’s policy.  Vendors should contact the Clay County Health Dept. to learn of the permits and requirements they require of vendors.

Additional information resources are readily available on the Internet simply by typing key words into your web search browser (Google, Explorer, etc.).  We have been informed by vendors that a policy for the entire year is available for a few hundred dollars.
